Prerequisites #
Before you begin the installation, please ensure the following features are enabled in your Salesforce org.
- Enable Data Cloud
- Navigate to
Setup, search for “Data Cloud”, and go to theData Cloud Setup Home. - Verify that your Data Cloud instance is live and connected to your home org.

- Enable Einstein Generative AI
- Ensure that the main “Turn on Einstein” toggle is active to enhance your org with generative AI.
- Navigate to
Setup, search for “Einstein”, and go toEinstein Setup.
- Enable Agentforce Agents
- In Setup, type Agentforce Agents in the Quick Find box.
- Select Agentforce Agents from the left-hand menu under Agentforce Studio.
- In the Agentforce Agents page, toggle the Agentforce switch to On.

Installation & Configuration #
Follow these steps in order to install the package and configure the agent.
- Install the Package
Use the following link to install the required package into your Salesforce org:Install Package Link - Create an Einstein User
An Einstein User is required for running and managing Agents. If one does not already exist, create a new user with the following details:- User License:

- Upload Data Files & Prepare Data Library
Upload the provided PDF data files into the data library.Link to Data Files-
- In
Setup, search for “agent” and navigate toAgentforce Data Library. - Create a
New Libraryif needed. - Ensure the
Data Sourceis set toFilesand theStatusisReady.

- Create the Ask Apsona Agent
Use the Agentforce Builder to create a new agent from the template.-
- Step 1: Select an agent template. In the “New Agent” wizard, select the
Ask Apsona Service Agenttemplate.

Step 2: Select topics. The Ask Apsonatopic will be pre-selected for you. Click Next.

- Step 3: Customize your agent. Fill in the agent’s details (Name, Description, Role, Company). [cite_start]For the
Agent User, select the Einstein user you created earlier (e.g.,EinsteinServiceAgent User). - Role: You are an AI Document Agent. Your task is to listen to user questions, access your knowledge base of product doc,and generate relevant, accurate responses. You serve as a direct interface, providing immediate support to customers seeking product info.

Agentforce Service Agent Librarythat you prepared. Click Create.

- Activate the Agent
After the agent is created, you will be taken to the Agentforce Builder. If the agent is not active, click the “Activate” button. Once active, the button will show “Deactivate”.
Accessing Ask Apsona #
Once the agent is active, you can access the application.
- Go to the App Launcher.
- Search for “Ask Apsona”.

- Click on the Ask Apsona item in the search results to launch the application. You can now ask questions like “How can I build a cross-object report in Apsona Reports?”.
